Sedation – relaxed throughout treatment
Dental sedation is ideal for patients who suffer from anxiety, a strong gag reflex, or a low pain threshold.
You will be given sedatives that will allow you to relax deeply during treatment without having to sleep completely.
Depending on the procedure, different levels of sedation are available – from light to deep.
When administered correctly by experienced specialists, sedation is safe, comfortable, and extremely effective.

Important information before sedation
Sedatives can make you sleepy, so patients should not drive themselves but arrange safe transportation to and from the clinic.
Before the procedure, do not eat or drink anything for several hours.
Your dentist will check your medical history and health status beforehand to ensure that sedation is suitable for you.
Sedation helps many patients to undergo necessary treatment calmly and without fear.
Why do people develop a fear of the dentist?
A fear of the dentist usually arises from previous negative experiences—an insensitive dentist, a lack of explanation, or unpleasant situations. Over time, the brain associates everything about the dentist’s office with stress: noises, smells, even the thought of an appointment.
At Evergreen Dental, we take the time to build trust and confidence. Many patients who considered themselves fearful patients for years experience for the first time with us that a visit to the dentist can also be calm, respectful, and pleasant.
